Magnifico - Portrait

Magnifico is a singer, songwriter and actor from Slovenia. His real name is Robert Pesut. After abandoning his studies, he founded his first band U Redu in 1988 and recorded two albums with them. After the band broke up, he began his solo career in 1997. Read here more about Magnifico.

Martin Lubenov Portrait

Martin Lubenov is a Bulgarian accordionist, composer and songwriter. He is originally from Sofia, but has lived in Vienna since 2000. He studied classical music and jazz in Sofia and Vienna and accordion at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, California. He is one of the key representatives of contemporary Roma and Balkan music and is an essential part of the Austrian ethno and jazz scene.

Saban Bajramovic (1936-2008) was a Roma singer from the city of Nis in Serbia. He was already a legend when alive and is often referred to as the King of Roma Music. Saban Bajramovic went to school for only five years. He spent the rest of his childhood and adolescence on the streets of Nis and there learned to sing and make music.
